Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen addresses divorce from Clive: 'Life carries on’

Mum-of-nine Amanda Owen has opened up following her shock separation from husband Clive. The pair announced the news earlier this year that they were ending their marriage after 22 years. A joint statement issued by them in June read: "Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.

“This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family. "Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children." They are parents to Raven, who recently graduated from university, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmie and Nancy.They all feature on the family’s show, Our Yorkshire Farm. Ahead of the release of her new book, which hits shelves today, Thursday 29 September, Amanda chatted to Christine Lampard on Lorraine where she was asked how she and the rest of the family are doing.

Christine’s filling in for usual host Lorraine Kelly until the end of the week. Discussing going through a divorce when having a reality TV show, Amanda said: “It’s really tough, and it’s a really difficult aspect of it to get across – but when you do reality [TV], it has to be just that.” She went on: “It covers the ups and downs and that could be on any level so, you know, life carries on. On the farm there’s a whole raff of things to do, nine children, a whole heap of animals; we’re just working away the same as before.

“At the end of the day, our priority remains, of course, to keep everything going.” In light of their lives being on telly, Amanda reflected on how fame affects her children. “They remain very unaffected,” the mum-of-nine revealed. “At the end of
