Set in 2025, Ukraine’s post-apocalyptic International Feature Film Oscar entry Atlantis imagines life — and death — in the country one year after the ongoing war with Russia has ended. Sergiy (Andriy Rymaruk) and his friend Ivan (Vasyl Antoniak) both suffer from PTSD, and lead joyless lives shooting at targets and working in a steel factory. When the factory is closed down by its British owner, Sergiy ends up driving a water truck around the barren landscape.

Oscars this year, as the ceremony has now been pushed back to April, but that gives us plenty of time to deliberate over the top contenders for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. Movies have been delayed due to Covid-19 since March 2020, and cinemas are currently closed again in the UK due to a third national lockdown, but there's plenty of exciting films available to stream on Amazon Prime and Netflix that could be vying for Oscar glory on 25 April.

Actress Anne Hathaway recently spoke to British newspaper The Sun and opened up about winning a coveted Oscar, to one’s surprise the actress was not pleased about winning the prestigious award.  “You’re supposed to be happy,” the 38-year-old actress told The Sun on Sunday. “I didn’t feel that way.” For the unversed, The Intern Anne won the award in 2013 for her terrific performance in the musical Les Miserables.

Amazon is still selling some sets of flowers including smaller pots for children and bee bombs - packs of seeds that grow into flowers that are ideal for bees. There are also butterfly-friendly flower sets but many of the options will take around 14 days to deliver as the internet giant prioritises essentials for delivery.

Naman Ramachandran The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has extended its eligibility period for the 2021 Film Awards.On Monday, BAFTA’s film committee decided that due to the continuing impact of COVID-19, U.K. cinema closures and the limited availability of cinema screens, entered titles scheduled to release before the eligibility cut-off of April 9 will be automatically eligible if they release within the 2021 calendar year without the need for an appeal.

BAFTA has decided to extend the eligibility period for its Film Awards this year, with the org now allowing films to release at any point in 2021 and still be eligible for the upcoming ceremony in April.

A Quiet Place Part II has been delayed again, and will now be released in September.The highly anticipated sequel is the latest in a long line of films having their release pushed back this week, including Jared Leto’s Morbius and James Bond film No Time To Die.The film, which sees John Krasinski return as director, was initially due to arrive in UK cinemas on March 20 last year, before the coronavirus pandemic hit the country.Since then, it has had four amended release dates.
