Fans of ITV’s Loose Women were reduced to tears after the panellists paid tribute to Brenda Edwards’ late son, Jamal Edwards. Jamal, who is credited with helping to launch the careers of Ed Sheeran, Dave and Jessie J, passed away a year ago following a cardiac arrhythmia caused by cocaine use.

A moving change was made during the latest edition of Loose Women as Brend Edwards emotionally opened up alongside her daughter following the anniversary of her son's death. Jamal Edwards died suddenly on February 20, 2022, aged 31, of a cardiac arrhythmia caused by recreational drugs.

The 1975 will appear as the musical guests for an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live next month. The band are set to perform on the sketch comedy show on March 11, with actress and Wednesday star Jenna Ortega serving as the host. Petras rolled out from under a car to start her verse while Smith took a seat on the back of a motorbike as their collaborator sang.The performance drew 106 complaints from viewers to Ofcom, although it is unclear which parts of it were complained about.Other complaints received about the BRITs 2023 included the use of offensive language at the ceremony and the amount of alcohol that was consumed.Smith and Petras’ BRITs appearance followed a controversial performance at the Grammys, which saw right-wing commentators and conspiracy theorists accuse the pair of performing a Satanic ritual.
