Olly Murs has responded after he had to be replaced on Friday night in his supporting slot at the Take That concert at Glasgow's OVO Hydro.
Scots pub singer Daniel Rooney was drafted in last minute after showbiz correspondent Ross King heard him performing in the Radisson RED hotel across the road before the show.
Ross was having dinner in the bar Daniel was performing in as the news broke that flights in London had been cancelled, and Olly could no longer open the gig that evening.
Take That's Gary Barlow then text Ross to see if he had any ideas as a plan B and Ross suggested that the singer in the bar could be an apt replacement.
Ross then asked a waiter to go to Daniel and tell him that he had a 'life changing opportunity' for him and could he come over to have a chat.
The pair then rushed over to the Hydro and Daniel took to the stage in clips which have since gone viral.
Speaking to Ross about his replacement on Friday night, after he eventually made it to Glasgow the following day, Olly said: "For the young lad to come out after just singing in the bar, imagine that? You're in a bar 30 minutes before singing to a few hundred people then to go right there's 10,000 people here needing entertaining! That's amazing, fair play to him! Credit to him, when I heard about that I thought, yeah I love that!"
Daniel spoke to Christine Lampard on ITV's Lorraine today.
He said: "I am a massive (Take That) fan now! What a show they put on and the guys too, I met them before and after the show, they are brilliant."
