A charity hero told how he had been abused and ignored as he tried to raise money for care workers.
Major John Paterson of Kilsyth, Lanarkshire, has been trying to walk 2.6 miles a day in a bid to raise money to buy personal protection equipment for care staff.
Although at 74 he is long retired, he is keen to help out with particular problems in care homes.
