'No Time to Die': James Bond sequel postponed amid coronavirus fears

The 2020 edition of the Cannes Film Festival has been postponed by the organizers owing to the Coronavirus crisis which has gripped almost every country in the world. Speculations were already rife about the prestigious film festival getting canceled in the wake of COVID 19 scare due to the fear of infection and now the reports have turned out to be true. The mega event was originally scheduled to be held from May 12 to May 23, 2020, in France.

MGM, the film studio behind the James Bond franchise and the upcoming movie No Time to Die, is set to lose around $30 million to $50 million over the decision to delay the film’s release.

We were expecting a new James Bond movie in cinemas in around about four weeks but it has been officially announced that the new 007 adventure, No Time To Die, has been pushed back seven months from the beginning of April to November. The news was confirmed via the official 007 social channels on Wednesday.

James Bond fans will have to wait a bit longer before they can see. On Wednesday, the franchise announced that it would be postponing the film's April release date. It will now be released in the U.K. on Nov. 12 and in the U.S. on Nov. 25.
