New Livingston Women’s signing Courtney McAvoy says joining the Lionesses has been a ‘breath of fresh air’.
The attacking midfielder made the move to West Lothian from Boroughmuir Thistle as the club prepare for their maiden SWPL2 campaign.

She added: “Mike was my coach at university and I worked with him for four years and we did really well. He knows me as a player and I know him as a coach and it was a move that really made a lot of sense from me.”
McAvoy will be re-uniting with former Thistle team-mates Hannah Davie and Shannon Todd, something she’s excited by, saying: “Hannah is honestly one of the best young players in the country. I think she could comfortably play SWPL1 to be honest. She’s full of energy and a real box-to-box midfielder which is great for me as she can be my legs.
“Shannon’s coming off a bad injury and it’s great to see her playing again. She’s a really strong player and someone with plenty of
