K.J. Yossman Netflix’s U.K. subscriber turnover has increased to £1.5 billion ($1.9 billion) the company’s latest accounts show.
The latest financial records for Netflix Services U.K., a subsidiary of Netflix Inc, show the streamer had increased its turnover by 12% year on year. The records, which were filed at Companies House this week, cover the 12 month period ending on Dec. 31, 2022.
Netflix Services U.K. is the streamer’s primary company that deals with subscribers in the U.K. Records show the U.K.
company enjoyed a 4% growth in the average number of subscribers and a 14% increase in average monthly revenue per subscriber. They did not confirm the number of subscribers. In terms of profits, they were also up — by £3 million — year on year.
For the year ending 2022 the company posted profits of £31.6 million ($38.7 million) up from £28.6 million the previous year. After tax, that amounted to a profit of £26.7 million for the year ending 2022. The average number of full-time employees at Netflix also increased, from 153 to 202.

Netflix just in time for Halloween.A24’s Talk To Me film, which earned 94 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes following glowing reviews from critics, follows Mia (Sophie Wilde) – a young woman who becomes embroiled with the supernatural following a séance with an embalmed hand.After she and a group of teens come into the possession of a mummified hand, they believe it supposedly connects them with spirits when a seance is performed. When connected to the hand for no longer than 90 seconds, users experience a drug-like high, leading to the teens taking turns to use it.Directed by Danny and Michael Philippou in their feature directorial debut, Talk To Me also stars Alexandra Jensen as Jade, Joe Bird as Riley, Otis Dhanji as Daniel, Miranda Otto as Sue, Zoe Terakes as Hayley and Chris Alosio as Joss.The film, which originally premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival in 2022 before arriving in cinemas earlier this year, will arrive on Netflix this week.
Angelique Jackson Tyler Perry has formalized a new creative partnership with Netflix to write, direct and produce feature films under a multi-year, first-look deal. The pact spans eight pictures over four years.
