Emmerdale fans have issued a desperate plea to soap bosses following the latest trip the village.

Neighbours is reportedly hoping to reunite Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan for the Australian soap's farewell scenes as it faces being axed in the UK. According to new reports, Jason, 53, is said to have told show bosses that he is flying to Melbourne in April and he could potentially shoot a "dramatic comeback" — but he wants to be joined by Kylie, 53. Jason played Scott Robinson on the soap from 1986–1989 while Kylie played his on-screen wife Charlene Robinson from 1986–1988.

Former Neighbours star Natalie Imbruglia has spoken of her devastation that the popular Aussie soap is being axed in the UK. Speaking on the Heart Breakfast show with JK and Kelly Brook, Natalie, 47, reflected on her time playing Beth Brennan in Ramsay Street, as she backed a fan petition to save the soap from being cancelled.
