Ned Eisenberg dead – Law & Order: SVU star dies aged 65 following cancer battle

Ned Eisenberg has died at the age of 65 after a battle with cancer. His wife, Patricia, confirmed the news, explaining that he passed away over the weekend. Speaking to TMZ, she shared: "As Ned would say, he was attacked by two very rare assassins — cholangiocarcinoma and ocular melanoma.
"Over the course of two years, he bravely fought the cancers in private while continuing to work in show business to ensure that his medical coverage paid for himself and his family.” Ned's on-screen career began back in 1980, when he played the role of Marty in the film The Exterminator. Just two years after he started his role there, he also began starring as several characters in Law & Order: SVU up until 2019.
Most recently, Ned played the role of Detective Hauser in the 2021 series Mare of Easttown, starring alongside Kate Winslet. Ned had also made it to the big screen, starring in several Hollywood movies including Last Man Standing, Limitless, Million Dollar Baby, The Burning, Flags of Our Fathers, and A Civil Action. Fans flocked to Twitter to share their sadness over his passing as one person fondly remembered him and said: "He was my favorite recurring actor on Law and Order #NedEisenberg".
