'My boob job saved my life when surgeon realised I had deadly pregnancy complication'

A woman who flew to Turkey for a boob job says it saved her life after it led medics to discover she was pregnant and had a potentially deadly complication.
Lauren Parker, 25, flew to Istanbul last month with her boyfriend Bradley Jones for breast uplift and implant surgery.
And she was left stunned whilst, during a consultation with surgeons on the day of the operation, a routine blood test revealed Lauren was around five weeks pregnant.

Before leaving the UK, Lauren had experienced "unusual bleeding" but had been assured by her GP she was fine to fly and put it down to an abnormal period.
Medics at the Turkish hospital did an ultrasound scan and that showed Lauren was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy. That is a condition where the fertilised egg gets stuck in the fallopian tube. If left untreated it can result in a life-threatening hemorrhage.
The concerned doctors advised they needed to act fast and explained there was no other option but to operate. Surgery and removal of a fallopian tube is the most common treatment for an ectopic pregnancy - however, it does reduce fertility and chances of conceiving.
During a 45-minute keyhole surgery, a surgeon removed her fallopian tube - saving her life as she had started to bleed internally.
Medics then kept her under anaesthetic for another seven hours while they performed her breast enlargement - taking her breasts from a ''baggy'' size B to a size E, she said.
