Mum of daughter murdered in her own home makes vow after 'unbearable year'

The heartbroken mum of a young woman who was shot dead in her own home has vowed to 'talk about her positively every day' one year on from her death.
Ashley was found with gunshot wounds in her back garden in Leinster Road, in Old Swan, shortly after midnight on August 21 last year, the Liverpool Echo reports. Merseyside Police have said the killer entered the 28-year-old's home and fired multiple shots with a Skorpion sub-machine gun.
Five men have been charged in connection with Ashley's murder. A trial is due to take place at Liverpool Crown Court in October.

Today, one year on since her daughter's death, Julie Dale spoke of an 'unbearable year' without her. She said that some days, she doesn't 'know how to go on'.
She said: "A huge hole has been left since Ashley was taken from us one year ago. A void in our family that will never be replaced.
"This past year has been unbearable without Ash, some days I don’t know how I go on. But I do with the support of family and friends.
"We vow to keep Ash’s memory alive and talk about Ashley every day in a positive way, remembering all the good things about her."
Julie, 46, also thanked Ashley's colleagues at Knowsley Council for coming up with the idea of a memorial bench and cherry blossom tree, installed in Court Hey Park, Huyton, where Ashley liked to walk her dogs.She said: "I’m glad that we have a place to go and remember Ash.
"I am forever grateful to Ashley’s colleagues at Knowsley Council for doing such a wonderful, thoughtful thing for Ash and us."
Ashley worked as an environmental health officer with Knowsley Council. Her work colleagues have also organised for the Huyton
