A heartbroken mum has shared her devastating experience of finding her husband lifeless in bed after she fell asleep in their child's room.
Sophie Hugill from Bromley, London, had spent an emotional day at her nan's funeral on February 9 and drifted off in her son's room around 11pm.
The next morning at around 9.30am, she found her partner, Mark, unconscious.
Despite her desperate attempts to "bring him back", she struggled as he was "wedged against the wall".
An ambulance arrived about 45 minutes later but despite their best efforts, the medics pronounced the 37 year old dead. The cause of his death is still unknown.
Recalling the tragic moment, Sophie said: "I really tried to bring him back, but I think he was gone when I first found him. My life changed from walking from my son's room to mine, all within five steps."
