Three cheap ways to get rid of yellow stains on your toilet seat - and you don't need bleach!
Nobody likes to see ugly yellow stains on their toilet, but with these simple tips, they'll be gone quickly.
If your toilet has stains, it can look dirty, and sometimes scrubbing doesn't help. If this is a problem for you, fans of Mrs Hinch have three easy and affordable ideas, reports the Mirror.
You might think bleach is the solution, but it could make things worse, as one lady discovered. She asked for advice on Facebook from other cleaning enthusiasts.
She posted in a group called Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips and Tricks and showed a photo of her stained toilet. She wrote: "Help! My toilet seat is stained with urine and I have tried so much to get it off but nothing has worked."
She wondered if she should just get a new seat and said: "I've tried using a scourer with The Pink Stuff, baking soda and white vinegar, lemon, Viakal and bleach - you name it - they don't work. Nothing works and I feel so dirty. Has anyone got any advice or am I going to need a new toilet seat? ".
One cleaning fan said: "I think it's caused by bleach if you leave it on too long as I've had the same problem."
So, many people suggested using a "magic eraser" instead as one said: "Try a magic sponge, I used one as a last resort and it worked perfectly."
You can buy magic erasers online and in supermarkets such as Sainsbury's and B&M.
