A mother has made a desperate plea for her "vulnerable" missing teenage daughter to return home. Amy Storan, 17, has not been seen by her family for ten days.
Her mother, Sarah Heap, from Denton, said there had been reports of Amy being in Wythensahwe and at the Christmas markets in Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester city centre.
Sarah said: "The last time we actually saw her was a week last Thursday when she was going out to meet some friends. There was nothing unusual about her going out. She left at about 1pm. She did not return home, but I did speak to her on the phone on Monday last week at about 3.30pm. She called me after I sent her a message.

"She said she was in Manchester, that she would be getting a bus to Ashton and would be home later. She seemed her normal self. It is an awful situation. She has gone missing before, but it was only for one night.
"This is very unusual. She is very vulnerable. She has mental health issues. She is receiving counselling at the moment. We are very concerned for her safety. I had a phone call last night from someone who saw our Facebook post saying they had seen her at McDonald's restaurant in Wythenshawe. We also had a call saying she had been seen a few days ago on the Christmas markets in Piccadilly Gardens.
"Both those sightings were followed up but nothing came of them. I just want Amy to come home, she is not in any trouble. We love her and we want her back home where she is safe. She has younger brothers aged 13 and seven and they are missing her desperately.
