Model Tatjana Patitz, who starred in one of George Michael 's iconic music videos, has died.
Tatjana, who was a top supermodels in the 1980s and 1990s, sadly passed away at the age of 56.
Her agents confirmed the news today but a cause of death has not yet been made public, writes The Mirror.
The global editorial director of Vogue Anna Wintour paid tribute to the model.
She said: "Tatjana was always the European symbol of chic, like Romy Schneider-meets-Monica Vitt.
"She was far less visible than her peers—more mysterious, more grown-up, more unattainable—and that had its own appeal."
Tatjana appeared on the cover of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire, and modelled for huge brands such as Versace and Chanel.
Speaking in a Vogue 1988 profile, Tatjana said: “People always said that I looked special; that I didn’t look like anyone else. And I was going to make it because of that.”
As well as starring in George Michael's Freedom, Tatjana also appeared in the video for Duran Duran's Skin Trade.
In 1993 she also starred alongside Scots actor Sean Connery in film Rising Sun.
Tatjana dated some famous faces too including musician Seal and former James Bond Pierce Brosnan and singer Nick Kamen.
She was born in Hamberg, but moved to Sweden with her family. And when she was 17, Tatjana entered a modelling competition in Stockholm, where she placed third in Sweden.
Tatjana had a son, Jonah, who she shared with ex husband Jason Johnson. Last year she said of her son: “Jonah is my source of happiness.”
