Mod Sun is opening up about how personally devastating these last few weeks have been for him after his abrupt split from Avril Lavigne!
The Rich Kids Ruin Everything artist got emotional on stage during the final performance of his God Save The Teen Tour in Los Angeles on Sunday night. While standing on the stage at the Fonda Theatre, he thanked his fans for getting him through it, saying:

The Canadian songwriter then called off the engagement, which reportedly blindsided the 36-year-old. It happened so fast, his rep was still denying it for a couple days! Worse, he had to watch her go public with Tyga almost immediately after the breakup — and in the same city where he proposed!! We cannot imagine how devastated he must’ve been!
As for what happened between the former lovebirds, the story is still up in the air. According to those close to the Sk8er Boi singer who spoke with TMZ, the pair had been “on and off” before the split, but Mod’s team disagrees. They insisted there were no interruptions in the relationship and that Mod didn’t think he’d done anything wrong. Hmm. A real mystery!
