Mina Lefevre Joins Alex Cooper & Matt Kaplan’s Trending As TV Chief

EXCLUSIVE: Trending, the media company launched by Call Your Daddy’s Alex Cooper and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before producer Matt Kaplan, has hired former Meta and MTV exec Mina Lefevre.
Lefevre joins the company as chief content officer of television.
Trending is a Gen-Z focused company that includes ACE Entertainment, which was founded by Kaplan, Call Her Daddy and talent network The Unwell Network.
Lefevre will oversee its scripted and unscripted television content.
She left Facebook owner Meta earlier this year as part of a round of layoffs at the social networking company after it moved out of original programming.
Lefevre spent around six years at the company as head of development and programming, where she developed and produced original series for Facebook Watch as well as its other services including Oculus, Messenger, and Instagram. This included Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris as well as its Gloria Estefan spinoff as well as unscripted series Steve on Watch with Steve Harvey, Piece of Mind with Taraji with Taraji P. Henson, a reboot of the reality hit MTV’s The Real World, 9 Months with Courteney Cox, Unfiltered: Paris Jackson, The Biebers on Watch and Tom vs. Time with Tom Brady.
On the scripted side, she was behind Elizabeth Olsen-fronted Sorry For Your Loss and Sacred Lies as well as an adaptation of podcast Limetown with Jessica Biel and Stanley Tucci.
Before she joined Facebook, Lefevre was EVP and head of scripted at MTV. She oversaw its scripted department that was responsible for series including Awkward, Faking It, Scream, Finding Carter and The Shannara Chronicles.
