Disgraced TV presenter Michael Barrymore says he's 'happier than ever' as he plans a career comeback after getting his life back on track.
The 71-year-old has turned his life around after ditching booze and focussing on his health in recent years and is contemplating returning to the spotlight. The comedian's last TV appearance was when he appeared on the ITV series Dancing on Ice in 2019.
In a brand new interview, Michael told the Daily Star: “I went through a period where I wasn’t sure if people would point at me. I dealt with it by realising there is always somebody worse off."

After making a name for himself on TV, Michael has turned to the theatre to work on his brand new project with his newly directed West End show Laurel & Chaplin - The Feud.
Michael has been a contentious public figure since the 2001 house party death scandal that ended his career, but he insists people would be happy to see him return to the screen. He said: “Whenever people speak to me, they ask when I’ll be back on TV.
“And online I get messages from people who are genuinely lovely. I was in people’s front rooms on the TV for years so they feel like they know me."
Michael added: “I get 30,000 comments a week. I try to reply to as many as I can, but I can’t get through them all. It proves that whatever state
