Meghan Markle once wrote about her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, in her now-defunct blog, The Tig, where she spoke about the fantasy of becoming a princess. Despite marrying into arguably the most well-known family on the planet, Kate and Meghan were often put at odds with the general public as the British media compared the two. Since Meghan’s exit from Royal life in 2020 alongside her husband, Prince Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have gone on to release a highly controversial Netflix show, Harry & Meghan, alongside numerous allegations in Harry’s memoir, Spare.
But back in 2014, when Meghan was still portraying Rachel Zane on Suits, she ran a lifestyle website that covered subjects like food, fashion and beauty in her own words. Meghan's blog was named after her favourite Tignanello wine, which she previously described as an “ah-ha moment at its finest.” In one resurfaced entry, Meghan commented on the royal wedding between Kate and Prince William, which happened a few years prior in 2011. She penned: “Little girls dream of being princesses.
I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power. “For those of you unfamiliar with the '80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength. “We're definitely not talking about Cinderella here.” Meghan, who is slated to attend the coronation of King Charles later this year, continued to explain that many women carry over the princess fantasy into adult life.
