Max Beesley found himself in an uncomfortable situation on Good Morning Britain when he was quizzed on his fellow Suits co-star Meghan Markle.
Hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls put the actor in an awkward position as they asked him to tell them what the Duchess is really like behind closed doors.
Reid started the conversation by saying: “You’ve worked with some brilliant actors, of course, you’ve worked with Meghan Markle on Suits.”
Referring to the Duchess as an “excellent actress”, the Good Morning Britain presenter mentioned the huge amount of pressure Meghan is under at the moment, the Express reports.
Max replied: “Terrific actress, wonderful to work with.”
Ed then asked: “Did you know back then, that she would go on to be a global star? Could you see it in her back then?”
Max who seemed to pick up on where the conversation was going stuttered slightly as he responded: “Well I did most of my work with Donna Paulsen, Sarah Rafferty who plays Donna is a terrific actress as well.
“It was quite daunting going on that show as well because I was meant to be the British version of Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht).
“I started watching the first season of Suits, watching Gabriel and I was like, ‘Oh my God, he’s both a terrific actor and also an incredibly handsome chap."
However, as Max discussed his own personal time on the show where he played the role of lawyer Stephen Huntley, Ed grew impatient and tried to divert the conversation back to Meghan.
He asked: “So you’re not going to tell us anything about what Meghan Markle was like?”
Picking up his glass of water as he replied, Max firmly said: “Absolutely nothing, whatsoever.”
Ed awkwardly laughed as he realised the actor was going to keep a tight lip on the 41-year-old and Susanna
