It's well known that Meghan Markle likes to take good care of her health and has a proactive approach to prioritising her physical and mental wellbeing. The Duchess of Sussex incorporates daily supplements and exercise into her routine and also practices acupuncture, cupping therapy and yoga.
These routines in her life have helped her overcome a previously “debilitating” health issue that once landed her in hospital.
Speaking previously to living well guide, The Chalkboard, she said: “I have been a long time believer in acupuncture and cupping.
“I used to have (hospitalised for them), and acupuncture and Eastern medicine absolutely changed my life.”
She added: “Migraine-free living is a game changer.”
Cupping therapy is an ancient healing technique that many people use in a bid to ease pain.
Cupping originated in Asia and involves cups being placed on areas that are in need of some treatment. A vacuum or suction force is then applied from inside the cup to pull your skin upward.
Migraines are a neurological condition that can cause unbearable pain, tiredness, nausea, loss of vision, visual disturbances and numbness among other symptoms.
Meghan's husband Prince Harry also previously admitted that he too suffered with the severe headaches.
In Harry's memoir Spare, which was released last year, he recalled details of his own experience with migraines.
The Duke of Sussex said that he suffered a terrible migraine while hiking to the South Pole. He said: "Head spins, followed by crushing migraine.
"[There was] pressure building in both lobes of my brain. I didn't want to stop [hiking] but it wasn't up to me.
