Meghan Markle's children's book 'pulled from Waterstones displays' amid 'publisher row'

Meghan Markle has been making headlines for the publication of her children’s book The Bench.

Mothers and media analysts knocked Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's debut children's book "The Bench" for serving to disrupt the traditional notion of fatherhood. Markle told NPR in her first interview since her and husband Prince Harry's sit-down with Oprah Winfrey in March that her book is dedicated to Harry and their first son Archie.

Sussex has revealed that the inspiration behind her best-selling children’s book, The Bench, came from a poem she wrote for the Duke of Sussex - and an actual bench that she bought him. Speaking to NPRWeekend Edition on Sunday, Meghan revealed how she wrote Prince Harry a poem entitled The Bench on Father’s Day in 2019, shortly after they welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who was born on 6 May.
