Meghan Markle has opened up on the famous - and in her words “vulnerable” - moment she was asked if she was “okay” during her final royal tour in Africa with husband Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex. Meghan, 40, was asked the question in 2019 by journalist Tom Bradby, which aired on ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. In reply to Tom, Meghan said honestly: "Thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m okay, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.” She continued: “Any woman, especially when they're pregnant, you're really vulnerable.
So, that was made really challenging. And, then when you have a newborn, and especially as a woman, it's a lot. So, you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed." Meghan referenced the incident as she and Prince Harry, 37, made a special appearance on the Teenager Therapy podcast this weekend. She said: "Isn’t that funny, it was about a year ago that someone asked me that. We were on a tour in South Africa and on the last day of the tour, man I was tired.
I was just about to give Archie a bath... I was exhausted.” Prince Harry interjected to explain that, at the time, Meghan was breastfeeding their son, Archie, now two, in between their engagements on the tour, which resulted in her being very tired. Meghan said: "Oh, yeah, so a lot of people don’t know, it’s like running a marathon, so between every official engagement I was running back to make sure our son was fed, "And, yeah, it was a lot.
