Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “biding their time to fight back” after a series of crushing blows have left their media empire in tatters.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have recently been dropped by Spotify following their $20million deal, which only resulted in 12 episodes of their podcast Archetypes, and labelled "f***ing grifters" by an executive. Following the podcast's axe, the couple was dealt another blow after the US Patent Office denied their request to trademark its name.
The couple are reportedly biding their time before a big announcement, according to one expert. Meghan has remained largely out of the spotlight this year, and was especially absent during Harry's promotional tour for his memoir Spare in January.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes the Duke and Duchess are laying low and waiting until the time is right before jumping back in the spotlight. “What we are all waiting for is the Sussex’s fight back," he told The Sun.
“Of course, they’ve lost Spotify. There are rumours that they will lose Netflix. And now they have lost their fight for a trademark. It seems as if their empire is about to crumble - but I believe they are biding their time to bite back.”
This comes after Meghan signed to celebrity talent agency WME that represents other A-listers including Eddie Murphy, Gwen Stefani and Liam Payne.
Richard explained: “WME are top-class and know what they are doing. What’s important is that they launch a fight back - but we don’t yet know what that is going to look like.
“At the moment if feels as though their empire is crumbling but its not crumbled yet. The question is why are they so quiet at the moment? What is going on?
