interview with Glamour published on Thursday, Ryan, 62, did not directly confirm that she’s had plastic surgery, but she discussed how she feels about the tabloid speculation, and the headlines about her “unrecognizable” face. “I can’t pay attention to it. I just can’t,” she said.
“It’s not worth it. Of course that would hurt someone’s feelings, but there are so many more interesting things to think about. Meanness and hatred are just so stupid.”Ryan has two kids: a college aged adopted daughter, Daisy True, and “The Boys” star son Jack Quaid, 31, with her ex-husband, Dennis Quaid, 69 (who she married from 1991 to 2001).
Ryan told the outlet that she and Dennis both noticed Jack’s affinity for acting early on. “I remember seeing him in a middle school production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ He was playing Bottom,” she said, referring to Jack. “I was newly divorced from his dad, and he was seated at the other side of the gym.
I had my head in my hands and was like, ‘Oh, no. He’s good. He’s really good,’” she says.
“I leaned forward, and I see Dennis, and he’s also leaning forward with his head in his hands.”Her dismay was knowing the hardships of an acting career in the public eye, she said. “You don’t wish it [on anyone]. It’s too hard and it’s too weird,” she explained.
“Jack is really talented. He’s more of a natural than I’ll ever be. That nepo stuff is so dismissive of his work ethic, his gifts, and how sensitive he is to the idea of his privilege.” Earlier this month, fans celebrated Ryan returning to her first movie in eight years – the romantic drama “What Happens Later,” with David Duchovny, 63, now in theaters.
