After thousands of tweets and petitions, McDonald's has officially confirmed the return of one of its most popular breakfast items.
That's right, everyone's favourite Breakfast Wrap will once again be back on the menu after a four-year hiatus. And you don't have long to wait, as the fast-food giant has revealed it will make its long-awaited return next month - and with a brand new recipe.
The cult breakfast item became a smash hit when it was launched in 2020, although it wasn't on the menu for long. Fans were so disappointed that they have been sending requests to McDonald's and signing Change.org petitions to demand its return.
Luckily, the food retailer has listened. As of Wednesday, February 7, the Breakfast Wrap will be available in McDonald's branches nationwide and it will now come with two of of McDonald’s iconic free-range round eggs, which were previously folded.
Priced at £4.39, McDonald's' Breakfast Wrap includes a delicious pork sausage patty, two round free-range eggs, a slice of bacon, a crispy potato rosti and cheese served in a tortilla wrap. It can also be served with your choice of tomato ketchup or brown sauce.
McDonald's sent foodies wild over the dearly-missed brekkie item on Facebook recently, where it shared a video announcing its return. The video was simply captioned: "IT'S COMING BACK - available from 07.02.2024."
Thousands of shoppers have already flooded the comments hailing the return of the Breakfast Wrap, with one writing: "Best news ever."
A second gushed: "Happy is an understatement."
