Manchester City are dealing with a number of injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s showdown trip to Liverpool.
Fortunately for the Blues, Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne are both long recovered from their setbacks, with the latter rested during Wednesday’s 3-1 Champions League win over FC Copenhagen. However, the night produced two more injury worries, one of which came prior to kick-off.
Liverpool have a number of setbacks of their own with Mohamed Salah not yet back from his hamstring troubles and Alisson out for the foreseeable future. Jurgen Klopp’s injury list may still be in double figures by the weekend, although Salah has returned to training this week.

City will be awaiting news of three injured stars ahead of the visit to Anfield, including Jeremy Doku.
Doku is nursing a discomfort picked up during Sunday’s 3-1 win over Manchester United and consequently missed the midweek triumph over Copenhagen. The Belgian suffered a hamstring setback in December and the club were careful to manage his recovery.
He missed eight games during his time on the sidelines during that episode. The nature of his injury is again muscular and Pep Guardiola “did not want to take the risk" on Wednesday.
Potential return date: March 10 vs Liverpool.
Nunes was forced off with a nasty-looking finger injury during the second half of the win over Copenhagen. The Portugal star seemed to have at least dislocated his finger and looked to be in some discomfort.
