Children's television presenter Dave Benson Phillips, who is currently appearing on BBC's Celebrity MasterChef, revealed the most bizarre rumour he read about himself online involving boy band One Direction, which left the 58-year-old in stitches.
The Get Your Own Back star admitted that he was scrolling through Wikipedia when he stumbled across the strange information about himself that he was the "fifth" member of the chart-topping pop group, though he didn't say who he was supposed to have replaced.
The boy band, who shot to fame during their time on Simon Cowell's X Factor, have now broken up and consisted of band members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik - and apparently Playhouse Disney presenter Dave too!
"On Wikipedia, apparently I was the fifth member of One Direction," Dave told the Metro, as he also detailed more bizarre information he had stumbled across - a rumour he was married to Australian singer and actress Natalie Imbruglia.
He added: "I was also married to Natalie Imbruglia. That was the one where Mrs. Phillips actually said to me, 'Look, of all the rumours that you’ve ever had laid at your feet, that one’s not bad'. That one was lovely.
"A lot of the ones that have been written about me have been very strange and sometimes too strange to print."
Dave, who is married to wife Emma Phillips, decided to test his cooking skills in the MasterChef kitchen to get the thumbs up from judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode.
And he gave viewers a sneak peak of what they can expect him to be like as he rustles up his finest dishes in the iconic kitchen.
He said: "I was fairly professional in the kitchen as only a professional like me could be.
