Manchester United have announced Mason Greenwood is to leave the club.
United have concluded their six-and-a-half month investigation into Greenwood, 21, and decided "it would be most appropriate for him" to recommence his career at another club.
The Crown Prosecution Service dropped charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm against Greenwood on February 2. Greenwood maintained his innocence and said in a statement released via United that he "did not do the things I was accused of".
Greenwood says he "made mistakes in my relationship, and I take my share of responsibility for the situations which led to the social media post".

United will work with Greenwood's representative and father, Andrew, to identify the appropriate club for him to continue his career. Greenwood is contracted to United until 2025 and the club has the option of an additional year.
The Manchester Evening News reported on Saturday United were considering a U-turn on Greenwood's future, having initially intended to reintegrate him into their first-team squad. That revelation sparked a backlash from supporters and United have backtracked.
The United chief executive Richard Arnold said in an open letter to supporters that the alleged victim requested the police to drop their investigation into Greenwood in April 2022.
An audio recording and imagery were posted online on January 30 2022 and Arnold said United were "provided with alternative explanations for the audio recording, which was a short excerpt from a much longer recording, and for the images posted online."
