Nothing beats a hearty and warming meal when the weather starts to get chilly, and it's even better when it doesn't take hours to prepare.
So if you're on the hunt for a nutritious dinner that the whole family will love, Mary Berry's Express Lasagne could be just the thing you've been looking for.
The iconic TV chef created the "super quick" recipe that's ideal for family dinners, and unlike some lasagne recipes, it doesn't take long to prep and cook.
Shared on the BBC Food website, it's described as a "wonderfully different" take on the classic lasagne dish, and is "perfect for a midweek supper".
The recipe serves six people and it can also be frozen and reheated before it's put in the oven if you want to prepare it in bulk for when you're strapped for time.
Before you start, you'll need a shallow 2¼ litre or 4 pint ovenproof dish measuring about 30x20cm/12x8in and 6cm/2½in deep. Here's everything else required for the recipe, and how to make it.
Ingredients
For the pork and spinach sauce
For the tomato sauce
Method
Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6 and grease the ovenproof dish with butter.
Put the lasgane sheets in recently boiled warm water to soften them. Meanwhile, start preparing the two sauces.
For the pork and spinach sauce, heat the oil in a large, non-stick frying pan. Add the sausage meat and brown over a high heat for 5–10 minutes until golden-brown, breaking it up with two wooden spoons. Add in the flour and fry for a minute.
Add the chilli, garlic and mushrooms and fry for about five minutes. Stir in the crème fraîche and spinach, then bring to the boil and allow to bubble for a couple of minutes. Season well with salt and pepper and put it aside.
For the tomato sauce, combine all the ingredients
