Marks and Spencer's £32 'Greek goddess' skirt set to be summer's biggest fashion trend

If you keep up with fashion trends online, you might have noticed that one summer staple keeps cropping up on your for you page. Billowy fresh cotton skirts have seen a boom in popularity with Instagram influencers of late, and The Mirror has even tipped them as one of the summer's hottest trends.
The Grecian-inspired skirts have been hailed as the 'perfect blend of comfort and style', with many being made from pure cotton or similarly lightweight fabrics, which is needed during the warmer months. They're also ideal candidates for layering when the weather isn't so hot, being paired with oversized sweatshirts, snuggly socks and Uggs.
The skirt's neutral hue also means it acts as a blank canvas, allowing for endless styling possibilities, so there’s no wonder fashion enthusiasts are dying to get their hands on one. Thankfully, the high street has plenty to offer, with M&S, John Lewis and Nobody’s Child all stocking their own take on the hottest new trend.

One influencer, Hannah Gale, bought hers from Marks and Spencer and shared a video styling it up for the spring season. She said: "A 6.30am scroll purchase and I am obsessed. Costs £32.50 and also comes in black." She swooned over the skirt’s elasticated waist and pockets, as well as the fact it’s double lined so as not to be see through.
