As we enter September we can all agree - it has been a pretty disappointing summer.
But don't swap the shorts and t-shirts for your comfy autumn coat just yet - as this week temperatures are on the up. The Met Office are forecasting a warm and sunny week across the region, giving us a final chance at some summer sun.
The week looks to start especially bright, with highs of 27C, before a slightly cloudier end of the week, with some showers predicted. Here's Manchester's full weekly forecast...

Monday (September 4) looks to be a beautiful start to the week, with bright sunshine and clear skies. Temperatures will be at around 16C from 8am, and are expected to continue to climb, reaching highs of 27C by 4pm. Forecasters predict a sunny evening and a warm night.
Tuesday (September 5) should see an even warmer morning than Monday, with temperatures of 19C by 8am. Forecasters expect temperatures to climb to highs of 27C by late afternoon once again, in another glorious day.
Wednesday (September 6) may be a little cooler and cloudier than Monday and Tuesday, according to the Met Office, but is still warm and dry. The day is expected to start with a bright morning and temperatures of around 19C by 10am, with a little cloud settling in later in the afternoon. There are expected highs of 25C.
Temperatures are set to climb to 27C again on Thursday (September 7), but forecasters say it will come with heavier cloud. There is a greater chance of rain, although the outlook is still largely dry.
