Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has claimed that Brentford star Christian Eriksen would improve Manchester United amid rumours he could be on the move this summer. The Danish midfielder’s future has been the subject of much speculation with his contract expiring in June.
Eriksen signed a six-month deal with the Bees in January and has rebuilt his career after collapsing with a heart attack while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020. Eriksen has returned to fitness and his creativity, vision and ability to retain possession have played a vital role in Thomas Frank’s side avoiding relegation in their maiden Premier League season.
The 30-year-old’s impressive form has seen him linked with a number of clubs including former side Spurs, where he spent six-and-half-seasons before leaving for Inter in January 2020. However, United are expected to have a major overhaul this summer with new boss Erik ten Hag at the helm, and Sherwood — who previously worked with Eriksen during his own managerial spell in north London — believes he could be part of that rebuild.

“The Brentford fans must be pinching themselves thinking they have got a player of this quality," Sherwood told Sky Sports. “Yes, they gave him the opportunity to come back to the Premier League. He’s such a good type.
“A wonderful player. One of the fittest boys I ever worked with. One of the most determined as well.
“He is a good example to all the young boys around. He could play for Man United and improve their midfield. Play for Tottenham and improve.”
