Manchester United are still planning to send Alvaro Fernandez out on loan this summer, but he has not yet agreed a deal with any club.
Fernandez, 19, was not included in their pre-season tour squad this summer on the basis that he would train with the U21s before being allowed to leave on a temporary deal.
The young left-back has attracted plenty of interest during the transfer window and has held talks with Championship side Preston about a possible move.
Fernandez was pictured at the club's Deepdale stadium and will also be in attendance to watch their pre-season friendly against Leicester on Saturday afternoon.

The Manchester Evening News understands Ryan Lowe's side have stiff competition for his signature though, with some Premier League sides also showing an interest in his signature.
