Amrabat handed No.4 shirt after move
Manchester United have confirmed that Sofyan Amrabat will wear the No.4 shirt for the duration of his loan spell from Italian outfit Fiorentina.
The 27-year-old midfielder arrived from the Serie A club on deadline day after completing a season-long switch to Old Trafford. Amrabat has not worn No.4 previously for his former clubs.
For his national side, though, Amrabat has worn the No.4 since 2019 and his links to the squad number have been present throghout his domestic career. At FC Utrecht, where he played under Erik ten Hag, he wore 44 while at Hellas Verona and Fiorentina Amrabat turned out in the No.34.
