Temperatures are soaring so high in Manchester today that it will actually be as hot or hotter than some popular holiday destinations.
In Tenerife and Majorca temperatures will reach as high as 26C throughout the afternoon, according to the Met Office. Meanwhile, Manchester is set to experience temperatures as high as 27C.
There will also be bright and clear sunny conditions throughout the day which will extend all the way up until the weekend when conditions are expected to settle slightly. People planning to spend the afternoon outside should also take care as the UV is expected to remain very high from 12pm until 4pm.

According to the Met Office, today's forecast says: "Any early morning mist quickly clearing, leaving the region with plenty of summer sunshine and temperatures rising. A light breeze will help it feel slightly less humid than recent days. Maximum temperature 27 °C."
It added: "Staying dry through the evening, with clear skies for most. The odd patch of low cloud developing in prone spots. Another warm night with a gentle easterly breeze. Minimum temperature 13 °C."
On Tuesday the Met Office confirmed that the heatwave threshold had been hit in the north west of England - after three days of temperatures over 25C.
It comes after the region was battered by storms throughout the early part of the week, with parts of Greater Manchester being hit by torrential rain, hail, thunder, and lightning. Some people even reported roads becoming flooded and spotting trees falling down, with some describing it as 'end of the world weather'.
