A dispersal order was put in place in Manchester city centre last night after reports of a 'fight inside the Arndale centre'.
A heavy police presence was sparked after a 'disorder' broke out in the shopping centre at around 7.30pm, the Manchester Evening News understands. Video footage taken inside the Arndale showed police officers and security workers responding to an incident inside.
People could be heard screaming in one clip and onlookers appeared to gather around the scene of the incident. Eyewitness reported that a 'big fight broke out'.

Several police cars and vans were pictured stationed near the shopping centre on Market Street. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed this morning (Saturday) that a dispersal order was put in place last night following the incident.
These allow officers to direct any person to leave a place within the area and not return, or risk arrest. The exact time the order is in place until has not been confirmed.
No arrests were made, the force added, and a group was 'dispersed'.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "A 24-hour dispersal order was granted last night following a report of a disorder in the city centre. No arrests were made and the group dispersed."
The M.E.N approached a representative for the Arndale for a comment.
