Police swooped on a Manchester hotel room and arrested a suspected scammer thought to have sent out 26,000 texts in a single day purporting to be from delivery giant Hermes.
Officers raided a room in Ibis hotel in Charles Street in the city centre on Thursday afternoon after staff reported seeing suspicious activity including a man with a large amount of cables in a bag.
Police found a laptop and other devices
