A man accused of sending money to women in the Philippines to live stream the sexual abuse of children on Skype has appeared at court. Bernard Grace attended a short hearing at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (October 13) and pleaded not guilty to 17 charges over a five year period, beginning in November 2017.
The 71-year-old only spoke to confirm his not guilty pleas to the charges, 15 of arranging/facilitating the commission of a child sex offence and two of making indecent photographs of a child. Prosecuting, Ms Tolman told the court that on October 1 2020 the National Crime Agency (NCA) received information that Grace had made an “illicit money transfer” to the Philippines.
Grace was subsequently arrested on March 4 2021 and later charged. The case has been transferred to Manchester Crown Court to be heard there.

A date of November 17 was given by District Judge Bernard Begley for the next hearing at Manchester Crown Court Crown Square. Grace, of Stoneacre Road, Wythenshawe, was granted conditional bail.
