Maksim Chmerkovskiy is sharing his thoughts about Kirstie Alley‘s latest post.
“I don’t know what’s real or what is fake in this war. So I won’t be commenting. I’ll pray instead,” the 71-year-old actress wrote in a since deleted tweet, which Maksim, 42, responded to on his Instagram Story.

He shared a screenshot of Kirstie‘s tweet and wrote, “Dear Kirstie, we haven’t spoken in a while, but I clearly remember being right next to you while you were organizing trucks of aid during Hurricane Sandy and I remember all that you were saying to me about situations where innocent are suffering.”
“That same energy is needed right now. No one needs your prayer if you don’t know what’s real or fake,” he added. Maksim and Kirstie were partnered together during season 12 of Dancing with the Stars in 2011.
Maksim was born in Ukraine and has been in the country during the Russian invasion. On Friday night he shared an update, telling his followers that he and his friends were shot at in their car as they fled to the Poland-Ukraine border.
