Tom Cruise says he’ll still be making ‘Mission: Impossible’ movies when he’s 80

Tom Cruise has said that he plans to still be making Mission: Impossible films when he’s 80.The 61-year-old action star, who reprises his role as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, said he has no plans to wrap up the franchise just yet.“Harrison Ford is a legend; I hope to be still going. I’ve got 20 years to catch up with him,” Cruise told The Sydney Morning Herald at the film’s Australian premiere, referring to the legendary actor’s role in Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny. “I hope to keep making ‘Mission: Impossible’ films until I’m his age.”The seventh instalment in the Mission franchise, out July 10, has received numerous positive reviews, with critics praising it as an “impeccably made” action film that “does not stop entertaining”.A less positive three-star from NME, however, said that “staggering stunts can’t make up for the nonsensical plot”.It went on: “The problems come when Dead Reckoning tries to be too clever.

Box Office: ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ Stumbles With $60 Million Debut, ‘Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken’ Flops

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter Disney’s “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” lassoed the top spot on domestic box office charts, collecting an underwhelming $60 million in its opening weekend. That’s a decent amount of money for a tentpole that’s aimed at older audiences, but “Indiana Jones 5,” one of the most expensive movies ever, cost $295 million before marketing. It’ll take a heroic feat, one that would test even an enduring legend like Indiana Jones, for the fifth installment in the decades-old franchise to become profitable in its theatrical run. It was a disappointing weekend at the box office as “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken,” a $70 million-budgeted family film from DreamWorks and Universal, cratered in its sixth-place debut with $5.2 million. In addition to “Dial of Destiny” and “Ruby Gillman,” the DC superhero adventure “The Flash” tumbled to the No. 8 spot in its third weekend of release with $5 million, another embarrassing 67% drop. It has yet to cross $100 million domestically, with ticket sales at $99.2 million to date.

Margot Robbie Perfected Barbie’s Arched Feet in Eight Takes: ‘I Really Don’t Like When Someone Else Does My Hands or Feet in an Insert Shot’

Zack Sharf Digital News Director The official trailer for “Barbie” begins with a now-iconic shot: Margot Robbie’s eponymous doll steps out of her high-heel slippers to reveal her bare feet are still arched and ready to be slipped into whatever next shoe accessary awaits. For anyone wondering: Yes, those really are Margot Robbie’s arched feet. As revealed in a new Time magazine cover story on the making of the “Barbie” movie: “The shot took eight takes. [Margot Robbie] had to hold onto a bar to keep her feet flexed. And, yes, those are her feet. ‘I really don’t like it when someone else does my hands or feet in an insert shot,’ she says.” Robbie also told Time that she would’ve turned down “Barbie” had Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach’s script not incorporated many different Barbie characters. Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Hari Nef, Dua Lipa and more actors also play Barbie in the Warner Bros. tentpole.
