And when you have that sort of buzz, it’s only a matter of time until we see it get adapted into a film or TV series, right? Enter Netflix and the new series, “Maid,” which adapts Land’s memoir into a new drama series about a young single mother who is doing anything she can to survive after leaving an abusive relationship.
