Ticketmaster lawsuits, singer/songwriter Maggie Rogers is resorting to the old-school way of selling concert tickets. The 28-year-old “Light On” singer announced Thursday on social media that tickets to her upcoming “Summer of ’23 Tour” would be sold at various box offices across the country on Friday — leaving some fans scrambling to make arrangements to get to them. “There’s a lot of conversation right now about combating bots and making sure tickets get directly into the hands of fans, and at a reasonable price,” she wrote on Instagram.“Ticketing fees have never been higher and a lot of people, me included, are justifiably frustrated and concerned.
I’ve been thinking about this over the last few months and wanted to provide you with another option. The Post has contacted reps for Rogers for comment.
For those too young to remember, concert tickets used to be sold in person at venue box offices and at the thousands of Ticketmaster outlets located in places such as department stores. Hopefuls could also buy tickets over the phone. Rogers is still selling tickets online for her shows.

Not everyone is losing out on a blue check mark following Elon Musk’s massive Twitter overhaul.
Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor The squeaky wheel gets the Twitter blue check-mark, it seems. After Twitter’s mass revocation Thursday of thousands of “legacy” verified blue check-marks, carrying out owner Elon Musk’s long-promised purge of the “corrupt” system, several high-profile accounts still had the iconic blue badges… even though they evidently aren’t paying for Twitter Blue (the subscription service whose perks now include a blue check-mark). Those included NBA superstar LeBron James, actor William Shatner and author Stephen King — each of whom had tweeted that they wouldn’t pay for Twitter Blue or had complained about Musk’s switch in the verification program.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Ever since Chris Evans exited the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Avengers: Endgame,” comic book movie fans have been clamoring for his return as Steve Rogers. It appears they’ll have to keep waiting for now. Speaking at the C2E2 fan convention in Chicago, Evans said a potential Captain America return “doesn’t quite feel right” at the moment. However, Evans did admit that telling more Captain America stories is appealing to him, so never say never. “It’s tough, because look, I love that role deeply,” Evans said when asked about returning as Captain America. “He means so much to me, and I really do. I think there’s more Steve Rogers stories tell, sure. But at the same time, I’m very, very precious with it…it’s like this little shiny thing that I have that I love so much, and I just don’t want to mess up in any way, and I was a part of something that was so special for the special period of time and in a way, it really landed so well.
the MCU, it’s not totally clear, so it’s hard to know if we’ll ever see Chris Evans in the role again. But for what it’s worth, Evans himself says there’s probably more stories to tell with Steve — just not right now.As fans will recall, when last we saw Captain America, he had gone back in time to return the Infinity Stones, and then opted to stay behind and live a full life with his love, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). In the final minutes of “Avengers: Endgame,” a much, much older Steve hands off the shield to his buddy Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), and by the end of “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” on Disney+, Sam is finally ready to take up the Captain America mantle himself.Going forward, Mackie is now our Captain America (including in the upcoming film “Captain America: New World Order”).
