Married at First Sight UK star Matt Pilmoor has shared a sweet but emotional tribute to his girlfriend Shona Manderson, as he celebrated his 30th birthday in style on Saturday 2 November. The unlikely couple first found love on the 2023 series of MAFS, despite having been paired with different partners by the show’s relationship experts.
In fact, Shona had even left the show prior to Matt’s introduction, but that didn’t stop romance from finding a way to blossom between the pair away from the cameras. Sharing a photo of himself posing on the red carpet alongside Shona, Matt captioned the sweet image: “30 years old today and what I woman I have by my side going into it.” And it appears the feeling was definitely mutual, as Shona responded by sharing her very own gushing tribute to the new love of her life as she shared a video montage in honour of their relationship.
Alongside the video, which featured a surprising serenade by Matt, Shona wrote: “Happy 30th birthday to my BFG @mattpilmoor. Forever grateful that our journeys led to one another.” “I’ve learnt with you that love isn’t chaos- it’s calm, fun, safe and peaceful.
Thanks for adding so much to my life, it all makes sense now.
She then concluded by writing: “Can’t wait to dance with you later. I love you so much Matty & I’ll be beside you every step of the way xxx (& Winnie)” The adorable tribute was a clear sign the couple were absolutely smitten, after first embarking on a relationship earlier this year.
During MAFS, Shona had been partnered with Brad Skelly, and Matt had been teamed up with Adrienne Naylor. However when both relationships fell apart, love was able to bloom from the ashes when Matt and Shona crossed paths while filming the reunion show back in
