Luke Shaw has issued a message after Manchester United’s hugely impressive victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup.
Erik ten Hag’s side enjoyed a remarkable victory over their old rivals as United booked their place in the semi-finals and set up a clash with Coventry City at Wembley. The dramatic cup tie saw United twice come from behind against Liverpool before Amad scored the matchwinner in the final minute of extra time.
It was an unforgettable game and United were forced to get the job done without several of their key players. One of those was Luke Shaw, who has been absent since coming off against Luton Town in February, but the full-back showed his appreciation for team’s victory over Liverpool on Sunday.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Shaw shared a picture from the game at Old Trafford, writing a caption on his story: “What a game yesterday, proud of the boys.”
United will aim to retain the momentum from their hard-fought victory as the Reds continue to battle for a Champions League place. Ten Hag’s side sit six points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fifth, with the Premier League possibly earning an extra place in the competition this season.
With no timeline set for Shaw’s return and Tyrell Malacia already on the sidelines, United have been forced to improvise at left-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka started on the left side of defence against Liverpool, taking over the position from Victor Lindelof, while Sofyan Amrabat has also occasionally been deployed at full-back.
