Lucasfilm Announces Directors & Animation Studios For “Star Wars: Visions” Volume 2 Arriving In May

We are just a week away from the debut of Season 3 of the hit Disney+ series, “The Mandalorian.” The first, and most popular, live-action “Star Wars” series on the streamer is set to continue the story of a lone warrior and his little friend as they travel around the galaxy and get into all sorts of hijinks. But even though Season 3 has yet to even debut, series showrunner Jon Favreau is already teasing the fact that Season 4 is already written.

Zack Sharf “The Mandalorian” is about to launch its long-awaited third season next month, but creator Jon Favreau recently confirmed to BFM TV that scrips for Season 4 are already written and waiting to be shot. Disney and Lucasfilm have not yet officially announced a fourth season. Favreau announced he wrote Season 4 scripts during Season 3 post-production, stressing that it’s essential the scripts be done so that the series can continue to fit into and anchor the larger framework of the “Star Wars” universe. There are a handful of new “Star Wars” series on the way, including the highly-anticipated “Ahsoka.” “Season 4, yeah I’ve written it already,” Favreau said. “We have to know where we’re going to tell a fully formed story. We had mapped it out, Dave [Filoni] and I, and slowly you start to write each episode. I was writing it during post-production. All of it has to feel like a continuation and one full story.”

Liza Foreman ZDF Studios has signed a deal to distribute the second season of the remake of the iconic Spanish horror series “Stories to Stay Awake” (“Historias Para No Dormir”). The series is a reboot of the classic series created by Spain’s Chicho Ibáñez Serrador in the 1960s which proved a milestone in Spanish horror, introducing Spain to classic tales from Ray Bradbury, Edgar Allen Poe,   The deal sees ZDF Studios taking distribution rights to “Stories” in all territories outside Spain, Portugal, Italy and Latin America, which will be handled by Paramount Global Content Distribution. ZDF operated in the same capacity for the first season.

The answer is often no, and such was the case when Neeson joined Paul Rudd on the Feb. 16 episode of “Watch What Happens Live!” But Neeson took things a step further, explaining that his reason for not wanting to reprise Qui-Gon Jinn is because the “Star Wars” franchise is damaging its own magic. “No, I’m not,” Neeson said when asked if he’s interested in returning. “There’s so many spinoffs of ‘Star Wars.’ It’s diluting it to me, and it’s taken away the mystery and the magic in a weird way.” Neeson had a brief cameo in the Disney+ series “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” but he only had about two lines of dialogue. The actor made his “Star Wars” debut in “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace,” but his character died and his “Star Wars” tenure was cut short. Neeson told ComicBook.com last year that he’d consider reprising Qui-Gon Jinn under one condition: It’s got to be a movie, not a television show.

Surfing Giant Studios, founded by “Phineas and Ferb” producer Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, “Blade Runner 2049” writer and producer Michael Hodges and Alcon Chief Operating Officer Scott Parish, will serve as full-service production and animation studio based in Santa Monica. The studios will also have a Europe-based studio in Altrincham, U.K. In a statement, Parish said, “When ASG’s music-driven company partnered with Swampy’s Surfer Jack on ‘Pete the Cat’ it became obvious the combined talent and services of these companies offered a unique opportunity to create a full-service animation company, including the ability to bring highly visible music stars in as collaborators and create original songs that enhance the content.”

Emily Clarkson has welcomed a little girl with her husband Alex Andrew.Taking to Instagram on Sunday, 5 February, Emily, the daughter of Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson, announced that she gave birth on 1 February. Emily, 28, has named her newborn Arlo Rose, and told her fans that she and her newborn are doing "really well". She wrote next to a black and white photo of her holding Arlo while in hospital: "we’re all doing really well at home and just loving this time hanging out as a family so will be back online in a little bit".
