Manchester City fans are in a confident mood after seeing their fixtures for the 2022/23 season.
The Premier League released its fixtures for the new campaign on Thursday, confirming dates for all 380 games. The new season gets under way on Friday, August 5 as Crystal Palace host Arsenal in the opening game of the first round of fixtures.
City then begin their campaign with a tricky trip to London as they face West Ham on Sunday, August 7. The Blues though will be pleased with a theoretically comfortable run of fixtures to start the new season.

They face Bournemouth in their first home game of the season on August 13, with a trip to Newcastle following a week later. City round off August with home games against Crystal Palace (August 27) and Nottingham Forest (August 31).
The Blues are set to face title rivals Liverpool at Anfield on October 15, with the return fixture set for April 1. Meanwhile, the first Manchester derby is at the Etihad on October 1, with a trip to Old Trafford scheduled for January 14.
Having now seen their opening fixtures for the new season, City fans are in a particularly confident mood. Many feel Pep Guardiola’s side ought to make the perfect start to their title defence.
While fixtures have been confirmed for the new season, it's not yet known which fixtures will be moved for live TV coverage, with any changes being announced in the coming days and weeks. There's also a big change in the schedule, with domestic fixtures being put on hold to accommodate the World Cup in Qatar in November and December.
