There’s no denying that Love Island 2022 was a series that bought it all, from romance to drama and tension, the eight weeks it was on were certainly gripping.This year’s cast, like previous years before them, have left the villa in time for plenty of brand partnerships and ways to change their lives. While many apply for a chance to be on the ITV dating show - and applications are currently open for 2023 - others were scouted while out and about in their daily lives. ITV has been forced to deny rumours circulating on social media that controversial Love Island contestant Jacques O’Neill, 23, was actually removed from the villa for doing an impression of fellow islander and deaf contestant Tasha Ghouri, 23.The allegations, which are unsubstantiated, began swirling after a series of text messages, alleged to be from someone who had met a member of the Love Island team at a party, claimed Jacques was actually removed from the villa for misogynistic behaviour and doing an impression of Tasha who is deaf. Screenshots of texts have appeared online which make claim that these were the shock real reasons behind Jacques' sudden exit from the villa.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 27, and Davide Sanclimenti, 27, were this year's winning couple on Love Island.They stormed to victory after winning 63.7 per cent of the public vote, which makes them one of the most popular couples in the show's history. Ekin-Su and Davide's fun and lovable antics set them apart from the competition – who can forget Ekin's epic crawl on the balcony in the early stages of the hit dating show? The couple's fiery relationship won fans over and it is understandably unsurprising that fans rooted hard for the pair to win this year and take home the prize money.

Some of this year’s Love Island stars are said to have “snubbed” Antigoni Buxton’s afterparty sparking speculation that there’s a “big divide” between this year’s contestants. Series eight of the hit ITV2 dating show came to a close on Monday 1 August, with the explosive reunion episode airing a few days later.
