Love Island 2023 predictably didn't come without its drama, but it seems that some of that tension has spilled over into the outside world. And as former Islander Ellie Spence sat down for an exclusive chat with OK! it appears that the drama is far from over. The 25 year old got candid about the lasting friendships outside of the villa, whilst also touching on the ongoing feud between former Islanders Zara Deniz-Brown, Tanyel Revan and Olivia Hawkins, as Ellie said she "hopes it comes to an end".
Shots were recently fired between the girls, after Tanyel accused Olivia, Shaq and Tanya of influencing Jordan's decision to recouple with Ellie during the show, meaning Tanyel was dumped from the villa. Referencing the comments, Olivia denied Tanyel's accusations and accused her of "putting other girls down" to boost a lie, before Tanyel and Zara posted a TikTok video that was construed at throwing shade at Olivia.
When we spoke to Ellie, she was quick to emphasise that many of the Islanders from this year's series get along, but admitted that the group WhatsApp chat "died out pretty quickly". She said: "We all have like our own individual relationships with each other. There's a lot of us so inevitably, some people are closer with certain people than they are with others." Alluding to the drama between Tanyel, Zara and Olivia, Ellie, who is firmly on Olivia's side said: "All of us that have come out and supported each other, we're very close, and others that, you know, haven't wanted to support, are not as close.
